They are a few different Japanese Drumming Groups touring the world; if you get a chance to see one you will be amazed by the performance.
I saw Yamato at SUNY Purchase in 2007 and still can remember the sound wave that hits the audience in the chest when they played the biggest drum I have ever seen. When we entered the Concert Hall they had the smoke cloud filling the stage, setting the mood even before the show started.
The Drummers perform a series of routines that make you wonder about the timing and physical training this all takes. The routines are light hearted interaction between the members and the drums. You will be standing at the end of the show applauding the performers, what else can be said other than just don’t miss it.
