The return of the Giambino

by Gary Spilatro

Another poor weather night for a interleague game at Yankee Stadium. The Colorado Rockies beat the Yankees 4 to Rockies-Giambi-Ticket2 in under 3 hours. It had been raining off and on most of the day and by game time it was misty and cool.

AJ did his best to hold the Yankees within 2 runs but the Yankees only got 4 hits and struck out 7 times against Jimenez. The big event was Giambi’s first Home Run in the New Yankee Stadium in the top of the 2nd inning. The ball came flying back on to the field from a Yankee fan. Well at least Boston lost again and the Yankees stayed  half a game back and the summer games stilled to be played.
