The M/S Mount Washington is a cruise ship that sails the waters of Lake Winnipisaukee, New Hampshire from May to October. The lake is New Hampshire’s largest and covers some 44,000 acres and has 244 habitable islands.
The ship offers scenic daytime cruises twice a day and nightly, themed dinner/dance cruises. The ship is 223 feet in length and has four levels and three dance floors, with several lounge areas and dining facilities. I’ve been on both the scenic cruise and the dinner cruise and they are well worth it.
We took our grandson on the scenic cruise and he had a ball playing with the “wheel attached to a wall and going from one end to the other, about wore me out. The dinner cruises are fun also, in the summer residents set off fireworks from the shore and it’s great to sit on the deck and watch them all. Usually there’s a couple different forms of entertainment, one geared for a slightly younger crowd and and one for those more mature adults. So basically there’s something for everyone and we’ll be going back again.
