The good surprise in LA – Visiting The Grammy Museum at L.A. Live

My last day in the amazing city of Los Angeles. Would be flying back home early on Grammy-Museum-Ticket-StubSunday. After a long day of walking decided to explore a little more of downtown LA.

For my surprise and totally by chance found myself at L. A. Live, just in front of a building and it was The Grammy Museum. Grammy? Music? Got to get inside and check it out! And it was an amazing experience! The best musicians in the world in the same place! The journey begins at the fourth floor and each step was an amazing experience.

An interactive touch screen table, where you can put headphones on and chose on a timetable all styles of music and read a little about each one. There´s even Yanni and his Santorini there!

grammy-museum-imageMany interesting stations where you can mix and add your own style to many famous songs! What about listening to “Pretty Woman” by Roy Orbison and highlight base guitars on it, for example! I did it and I think I did it pretty well!

Mono, stereo and surround sounds! Want to listen to the difference? It´s there too!

Each corner reminded me of some time in my life. Barbra Streisand and her elegant outfits, Michael Jackson and the famous shining glove, The Beatles and even the Brazilian singer Bebel Gilberto are there. Handwritten lyrics, documents, old album covers. They´re all there for you to see and travel on time trough musical experiences.
An entire building dedicated to music, the most beautiful way of expression created by men. If you go to Los Angeles, take this chance and tell me then what you felt there.
