When I moved to Boston, one of the first items on my agenda was learning the rules of professional baseball and enjoying the special thrill of watching a game from Fenway Park.
And the best games to watch are ones like this where we played the Yankees. My mother is from Worcester and my dad is from the Bronx so I was well aware of the civil wars that could break out from this particular paring. As a newly legit Bostonian, my loyalty was firmly with the Sox.
The highlight of this game was sitting back with a beer in one hand, watching Coco Crisp hit a two-run triple that tied up the game and lead to a Red Sox win.
2007 was a great year, leading up to a World Series victory.
