Opening Day 2012 – Yankee Stadium

I have been to the Home Opening Game at Yankees Stadium for at least the last 20+ years and I have never been to a opening day with better weather.

It was 65 degrees and sunny, last year opening day was in March with a cold mist. I remember at least 3 times that opening day was delayed a day because of snow since 1980. I recall sitting in snow flurries, rain and very cold temperatures as a norm for opening day. They had marked out the baselines, pitchers mound and the outfield wall of the old stadium field in their original location on the new ball fields across the street from the new stadium.

By the way the Yankees shut out the Angles 5 to 6, a great day around. See you all in October.
