November 2010 has proved to be a very adventurous and memorable month for this rock-n-roll girl. It was Guitar God Heaven.
What made the 2005 gig special was that i met some of the band in a bar the night before concert. It was on a Tuesday night, so there wasn’t many people. It was cool to chat to them with pints of Guinness going down.

Yup, it was Fruday, May 15, 1980, and that is NOT me typing Friday wrong. Here’s the story, and my back-up on this is my buddy Tulch – who is the only other person to catch a Fruday show.
Dylan performed as if possessed by a demon or musical satyr. His trademark gravelly voice had an eerie yet captivating presence and the energy of the band could be felt coursing through everyone in attendance.

I have always wanted to attend a “Ramble” (Levon Helms’ Midnight Ramble in Woodstock at his home and barn). levon-helms-bandUnfortunately, Levon has passed on this year. However, Larry Campbell and the rest of Levons’ band are carrying on the tradition.
It was a much smaller venue then at their 25Th Anniversary show 7 years before (about 12,000 people less), but I’ve always been a big Tull fan and at least I could hear his stories on what influenced certain songs.
