The Capitol Theatre is open again. It closed in 1976 after having great concerts like Buddy Guy Jonny Lang Stub 150x150 Buddy Guy and Jonny Lang rock the Capitolthe Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd and Janis Joplin, to mention a few. It reopened in the 1990’s for a short time, that’s when I attended my first concert there, B.B. King. Last night we went again to hear Buddy Guy and Jonny Lang rock the Capitol.

Buddy Guy is an old time Chicago Blues performer and is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He knows how to play the Blues and to put on a great performance that gets you up out of your seat.

New York City’s Wetlands Club has refurbished the theater, it looks good and I believe manages it. When I saw B.B. King was the place was a dump, it good to see this classic theater back. I hope to see more shows in the future.
